It’s a new year, and to most people, new years signify fresh starts and new beginnings in different areas of our lives.
We start to pursue goals and plans for the year and we look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead in the new year. We write down goals, take notes of plans and map out projects.
However, it is important to note that committing our ways and plans to God is very important when setting goals, making plans, or mapping out projects.
When we commit our ways and plans to God, we understand things we need to understand concerning those plans/goals, we get new and right perspectives for those goals and plans.
Psalm 37:5 (KJV) states, ““Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) states, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
In addition, it is also important that we are committed to the goals we are meant to pursue. It is not enough to want to start to pursue goals, there is also the need to be committed to the goals.
We need to make sure that we put in the work and effort needed in pursuing those goals.
Also, we need to ensure that we track out goals. There should be measure put in place to use in tracking our goals at intervals. This will help in knowing when one is not doing some things he/she wants to do or ought to do.
Happy New Year to all of my readers. May God bless you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
