Don’t Believe the Lies of the Devil

Don't believe the lies of the devil

There are times the devil might come with his lies in order to deceive someone and make that person not think in the way he/she ought to think. If the devil comes with his lies, don’t believe it.

The devil might lie that you are this, you are that, and so on. However, if you know what God says concerning you and you believe what God says concerning you, you will know better.

When you spend quality time to read more of God’s Word, you get to detect the lies of the devil more.

When you know who you are in Christ, when you know who God has called you to be, when you know what God has said concerning you, when you know how much God loves you, and so much more; you won’t allow in the lies of the devil.

When the devil comes to tell you lies about yourself or your situation, remember God’s Word and attack the devil with God’s Word.

When you keep on knowing what God’s Word says concerning you, you have one of the things you can use to stand against the devil when he comes to try to steal your joy or peace.

If you allow the lies of the devil to get to you, it might get to your mind. And once the devil gets your mind, he can influence your thoughts, which then controls your actions and words.

For instance, if the devil tells me that nobody loves me, I know that’s a big lie because God’s Word constantly makes me know that God loves me.

Romans 8:35-39 (KJV) states that: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

When you know your identity in Christ and you meditate on it, as well as apply the knowledge; you can escape the lies of the devil and attack him with God’s Word.
